I wasn’t able to accomplish my full year of Cards and Cleaning Tips but I am not deterred. It has been a long year for us, not so much good or bad, just long. In April we welcomed Miss E. into the family, then Paul graduated from UConn with his MFA in Lighting Design, then we moved around A LOT over the summer, had another big move once Paul got a job at Morehead State University in Kentucky and then my computer died. Once we finally found a place and got a little bit settled everyone got sick, the girls got ear infections, we all got colds and then I ended up with the flu.
Ok….New Year, new resolve to finish. There are a lot of cards and cleaning tips I have to share with you so keep your eyes open for all of those. Last year there were a lot of baby showers that I went to {and some I couldn't make it to but still sent a gift} and I love giving hand-made gifts. One thing we got a lot of were baby blankets and I was so happy to have everyone of them. When I get in the mood, I will usually sew up a bunch of baby items over a weekend. Then I will always have something on hand. Last year I was able to donate a few items to a family who lost everything in a house fire right after their baby was born and right before Christmas. Does anyone else get excited over being able to do acts of kindness for others, weather they are annonimous or not? If you have any ideas for me to try or figure out for this years project, leave me a comment and we’ll see what we come up with. Yes, I did crochet the baby blanket for Miss E. and you can find the post here that gives all the great details on it. |
