Project #1
With this past Holiday season I found myself thinking of my Grandmother a lot. She passed away in 2012 right before Christmas and very unexpectedly. She was a perfect example of a caring, understanding and loving woman. I looked up to her more than she knew. Grandma was the glue that held our family together. We always looked forward to the family monthly dinner or Holiday dinners at her place. I cannot remember a time when she ever raised her voice and believe me, there was more than one or two occasions when she would have been justified. Her service at the Church was wonderful. There were so many of her friends and neighbors who came up to me and shared stories or told me how wonderful and thoughtful my Grandma was. During the service it was mentioned, by almost everyone, that they had already received a Christmas card from her with a handwritten note. This year, in honor of my Grandma, I have decided to send out weekly cards: Thank You, Get Well, Happy Birthday, ones for no good reason other than to say Hi, etc. My Grandma was such a great example and I always loved getting her cards and letters in the mail. There is something special about having something to hold and seeing hand writing instead of just another e-card. Project #2 I will be doing two 49Fifty challenges this year and my second one will be cleaning tips {or tips on what did not really work for me}. With Baby Sister arriving in April I want to make sure that our place is clean and orderly so that I won’t be anxious about letting her play on the floor or stick some of Lady A’s toys in her mouth. Another reason for this is because we will be moving {possibly twice} this year within weeks of delivery so anything I can have done before hand would be a huge bonus. |
